Josephine was a funny, 7 year old, bright girl that lived in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. She loved the color purple and liked to ride bikes. She would sell lemonade at small stands in her neighborhood.  He is described as having a loving heart and playful spirit. She had a beautiful smile and was inspiring to everyone that knew her. She was also described as “a gift”. She lived with her two sisters Marie and Sophia with their loving parents Bob and Michele Gay. Many loved her, including her grandmother Katherine Hartman and Grandfather Louise Gay, along with many cousin and extended family and friends.   
            Josephine was one of many killed on December 14, 2012, when a gunman forced his way on to the campus of Sandy Hook Elementary School after killing his own mother at home. When first responders arrived the gunman killed himself.
